01 — Project details

I co-led the launch and growth of Double Take’s monthly Pop-Up Market, transforming an initial idea into a thriving event that supports over 60 local vendors, many new to in-person selling. By leveraging the existing foot traffic of 300+ daily thrift store customers and targeting the creative community in Toronto, we created a welcoming platform for small businesses to showcase their products. Beyond generating revenue through vendor fees, the market significantly boosted Double Take’s brand visibility, online presence, and helped grow our engaged audience to over 200 newsletter subscribers. Our events gained organic reach through features by third-party media and influencer Instagram accounts, delivering earned media coverage with a large audience—all without heavy investment in paid advertising. This exposure, combined with consistent social media promotion and SEO-friendly event listings, helped increase website traffic, enhance search rankings, and establish the Pop-Up Market as a key community event that drives ongoing engagement and growth.
